A Bit About Virginia

Virginia and her husband live in the Grand Valley with their two Chesapeake Bay Retriever dogs, Paddles and Itty. They enjoy boating, fishing, ATV-ing, camping and spending time out of doors. They are blessed with 5 adult children who have graciously provided them with 9 grandchildren.

Virginia has a background in Computer Aided Drafting, having worked for various Professional Engineers, Architects and Surveyors in the private sector, energy development sector and the public/non-profit sector. Additionally, she worked for the City of Grand Junction as a GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technician merging maps with data. Simplified, a GIS is Google Earth on steroids.

During the economic downturn in 2010, she completed the last class for her Organization Management in Human Resources degree at Colorado Christian University. She also holds certificates in Project Management and Biblical Studies.

Virginia’s many years of volunteering with Girl Scouts turned into a dream job helping “build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place” when she worked at Girl Scouts of Colorado as a Membership Manager. Eventually, Virginia chose to return to the public sector.

Virginia remains active in the community volunteering behind the scenes in different organizations. She feels strongly about DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) especially when such topics lead to the foundations of food security and affordable housing. She has served on the Board of Realtors locally and stays involved with the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) committee.

Virginia has been a REALTOR since 2016. As such, Virginia has not only sold high end properties and vacant land, but also homes that were a portion of an estate for a “collector of all things valuable”. She has personally experienced the emotions of buying and selling from the first home to the parents’ last home. She uses her background in GIS to be able to point her clients to the documentation on various infrastructure that may impact her clients.
